William J. Hallett, President and
Founder
|
|
Bill is a graduate from Sheridan College and is a certified sales professional
(CSP) with the Canadian Professional Sales Association. Bill currently has over
twelve years of experience within the overhead crane industry. He has worked for
one of world’s largest international overhead crane manufacturing
and servicing companies. He has traveled throughout North America to
different crane manufacturing plants and has worked closely with other consultants in
the business. Along the way he has accumulated a wide range of knowledge and
efficiency methods to help companies who own, use and maintain overhead cranes
and hoists.
Bill’s first role in the overhead crane industry was a spare parts specialist,
supplying various Original Manufactured Equipment (OEM) crane parts. While in
parts sales he managed several hundred Western Canadian clients. He
was eventually generating approximately over $100,000 per year in sales
revenue for the parts department. He increased the parts sales volume to over
$850,000 of business within his first year. The following year grossed over
$1 Million in revenue. In the first three years he learned and developed
an understanding of how mechanical and electrical spare parts functioned
as it relates to overhead cranes and hoists. He has the understanding on
how to read technical crane manuals and engineered drawings as well as
knowing how to understand equipment model numbers, serial numbers, equipment
manuals and part numbers for most OEMs.
In 1999, Bill was promoted to service sales where he managed close to
300 crane and hoist service accounts from two separate offices - one in Windsor,
Ontario and the other in Kitchener, Ontario. From 1999 to 2001 he was the top
salesman in Canada for maintaining accounts and increasing new business and
added more clients to his customer based at a rate of 25% per year. His success
came from contributing to his clients’ businesses in terms
of how their cranes and hoists were utilized. He showed his clients how to optimize
their preventative maintenance program to maximize safety and due diligence as
well as eliminating over spending to help conserve maintenance costs.
Until May of 2004 Bill held the position of Sales Manager for another small
crane service company. He contributed to the growth and development of a crane
service company in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) by generating an additional
$70,000 in other products and services.
Today, Bill is a founder of MHE Control Systems, Inc. He continues
to focus on helping end users and owners of overhead cranes, hoists
and other forms of Material Handling Equipment (MHE). He helps
his clients by optimizing their preventative maintenance programs.
